The NZCF
The New Zealand Cadet Forces (NZCF) is a disciplined, uniformed organisation offering military-based leadership, personal development, and operational training for youth aged 13 to 20. At No. 30 Squadron, we proudly represent the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) within the NZCF, delivering a unique aviation-focused curriculum alongside a range of other exciting activities.
Who We Are
No. 30 Squadron operates under the Air Training Corps (ATC), one of three branches of the NZCF. As an Air Training Corps unit, we focus on aviation, leadership, and teamwork while also incorporating the core values of our NZDF parent branch. Our uniforms, training curriculum, and organisational structure are proudly aligned with the RNZAF.

Our Team
FLTLT Scott Bown
Unit Commander
The Unit Commander is responsible for the overall command and welfare of their Squadron. They hold ultimate responsibility for the management of all parade nights and activities conducted within the unit, development of the staff and NCOs, developing a relationship with the Unit Support Committee, RSA and other organisations within our local community.
FLTLT Sam Culliford
Executive Officer
The Executive Officer's role is primarily second in command of our Unit. Their direct responsibility is managing the day to day operations in the unit, and standards of all staff, NCOs and cadets.

Warrant Officer
The Warrant Officer is the highest ranking member of the youth leadership team. Serves as a direct connection between the Officer Corps and NCOs. Advises the Cadet Unit Commander on cadet related issues and manages the NCO team.
FGOFF James Cox
Training Officer
The Training Officers primary role is the management of the training syllabus for the unit. This role includes ensuring that the knowledge of the Cadets are up to date and organising activities for the Cadets.
OFFCDT Ryan Thomas
Adjutant
The Adjutant's primary role is the administration of the Squadron. This includes correspondance & communictions, maintaining the Cadet personal details, recruiting, routine paperwork & managing discipline.
Mr Scott Riddle
Stores Officer
The Stores Officer's primary role is the management of the assets within the Squadron. This includes the management of our uniform stores, equipment stores, and all other unit assets.
